commercial activities relating to tankers and LPG carriers. He is also responsible for maintaining customer relationships and business development, obtain market intelligence and analyse business trends, attend to pre and post fixture affairs including charter negotiations and reviewing fleet performance, appoint, appraise and liaise with agents at various ports and together with the Technical and Legal Department, negotiate and settle cargo, freight, hull and machinery, third party claims and insurance claims.
Mr. Majumdar joined our Company in December, 2008. He obtained his Bachelors Engineering (B. Tech Mechanical) in 1983 from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi). He obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in 1985 from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM Calcutta). He has been working in the shipping industry for more than 20 years, having experience in many areas like Offshore vessels, Gas Carriers, Bulk Carriers and also ship financing. |
