Mr Rajagopalan is our Vice President (Technical Operations) Singapore. He is overall in charge of technical operations, quality assurance and manning activities of our vessels, which are technically managed out of our Singapore branch office. In that capacity, he oversees compliance with the ISM Code and the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code issued by IMO, and ISO standards. He is also responsible for environmental protection and the safe operation of our vessels by adhering to our safety management system and executing our emergency contingency plan in relation to shipboard emergencies. He joined our company in 2003.

He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) in 1976 from the University of Madras and completed his training in marine engineering from the Directorate of Marine Engineering Training, the Ministry of Shipping and Transport of India in 1977. A Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 1 was issued to him in 1985 by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland registered at the Office of the Registrar General of Shipping and Seamen.
